GCUOBA Abuja Branch, Class of ’78, honors Mrs Naibe for Long Services, Valued Contributions

Government College Ughelli Old Boys Association, (GCUOBA), Abuja branch and the class of 1978, have honored their Music Teacher, Mrs. Christy E. Naibe for long services and development of musical talents in the school.
Presenting the award at the Annual Inaugural Lecture and Conference of Government College Ughelli class of 1978 to mark their 40years, the chairman of 78 class, Dr. Akpo Mudiaga Odje said,  “These are the kind of gestures that truly represent our vision and dream for our school, having been providential beneficiaries of the very rich and robust educational pasturing of this great school.
“We are presenting to you this award of Long Services and Service to Humanity  to our great institution and Alma mater as one of the best music teacher Government College has ever had in recent times.
“Your ability to build the music class from nothing and nurturing students of this school is worth recognition and rewarding.
“The Class of ’78 is please to have you as the teacher who has nurtured many students to become very big in the music industry”.
Also, Abuja branch Old Boys presented an award of Valued Contributions to the branch and Government College, Ughelli.
Responding, the recipient, Mrs. Naibe said, “I feel elated and honored to be given this awesome award of long services to the school for the number of years I have been here.
Am not the best of all but because of the interesting subject, ‘Music’ that I do teach, I was honored. They may have decided not to honor me but they in their own taught found me worthy of this award and I am grateful to the class of ’78 and Abuja branch for honor done to me.
“I will not dissapoint the trust they had in me as music teacher and I will continue to do my best to promote music in every school I found my self because it is the food of the and it makes one not to be weary”. she said.
